I am Certified by the American Board of plastic surgery. Following my training at the Medical College of Virginia at Richmond, I have been practicing in Austin since 1987.
I served as the Chief of Plastic Surgery in 1994, 1998 and 1999 for Seton Medical Center and I operate at several outpatient surgical facilities conveniently located within Austin. I was the President of the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons for 2005-2006.
My practice attends to the needs of patients of all ages. I perform a wide variety of cosmetic procedures involving the face, nose, breasts, and abdomen using the most current techniques available. Reconstructive surgery also constitutes a significant portion of my practice, assuring many of my patients a return to a normal lifestyle following injuries or disease processes.

Children are a blessing; however, pregnancy and breastfeeding can cause significant changes in the size and shape of the breasts and abdomen, as well as cause weight gain with abnormal areas of fatty tissue. In order to regain the slender, better-contoured shape you once had, you may wish to consider one or more cosmetic plastic surgery procedures. Performed by David M. Turner, M.D. in Austin, the combination of contouring surgeries is known as a "Mommy Makeover."
A "Mommy Makeover" surgery is a combination of procedures, which is individually tailored to improve the figure of women who are unhappy with their post-pregnancy figure. Popularly combined procedures include breast lift ("mastopexy") and/or enlargement ("breast augmentation"), liposuction ("lipoplasty"), and tummy tuck surgery ("abdominoplasty"). These procedures can be performed individually or as a combination in one operation.
A breast lift and/or enlargement can provide you with fuller, more youthful breasts, while liposuction and tummy tuck surgery can produce a slimmer midsection. During a tummy tuck, Dr. Turner will tighten the abdominal muscles and remove any excess skin and fat, and liposuction can eliminate stubborn pockets of fat on various areas of the body.
In addition, Austin, Midland, and Round Rock "Mommy Makeover" patients may choose to undergo facial skin care treatments to rejuvenate the face. Some of theses procedures include laser skin resurfacing, lip enlargement, and Botox ® injections. You may inquire for further information during a 30 to 45 minute, one-on-one visit with Dr. Turner in a relaxed, comfortable setting.
